教学方面:主讲本科生课程《无机材料工艺学》、《特种陶瓷》、《耐火材料》、《材料科学基础》、《热工设备设计》
科研方面:主要从事薄膜太阳能电池材料与器件、功能CaCO3粉体、BN基导热电子封装复合材料及结构功能一体化陶瓷方向的产学研工作。近年来主持国家自然科学基金2项、广西自然科学基金2项、桂林市重大专项1项等各级别项目8项,参与国家自然科学基金、广西重大专项和企业横向等项目6项,在ACS Appl. Mater. Inter.、Composites Part A、Solar RRL、J. Phys. Chem. C和Ceram. Int.等国际主流期刊发表研究论文80余篇,其中第1作者/通讯作者SCI论文30余篇。申请中国发明专利40多项,已授权中国发明专利26项。Angew. Chem. Int. Edit.、J. Am. Ceram. Soc.、Ceram. Int.、J. Alloy. Compd.和ChemistrySelect等国际期刊审稿人。王吉林副研究员是桂林市“百名博士进百企”行动首批博士团成员和桂林金山新材料有限公司科技专员,同时已入选广西“千骨计划”第五期培养对象,获第九届广西青年学术年会论文二等奖和广西区优秀创新创业导师等奖励荣誉。
